What Our Employees and Students Say About Working Here
I have learned more during this six month contract than in my two years in pediatric OT at my prior
company. I have really appreciated the access to the library and anytime I had a question I felt I was able
to ask and receive a thorough answer with follow up resources. I have really appreciated learning the
billing side of the business as well so I know how to answer family’s questions about insurance and
billing.
Rachel Torres Contract travel therapist 2022
It has been wonderful to work with all the staff and clients at Life Span OT, I am truly grateful for the mentorship and experience I have received during my time at the clinic. I believe in the mission of the Life Span OT and wish the best for the company.
Full time TG OTR, 2022
I worked at Life Span OT as their scheduler/OT Aide for over a year before moving due to my husband getting out of the military. Although I was the only non-therapist at Life Span, I always felt like part of the “team” along with all of the therapists, and I was invited to attend all of their after-work training sessions. I enjoyed my time working at Life Span, and would have stayed if it had not been for my move. I am applying for OT school soon, which is why I wanted to work in this environment. Even through my clerical work, I gained a vast amount of knowledge in the field of occupational therapy that I know will help me on my journey to become an OT. Jacqueline and the other therapists at Life Span are extremely knowledgeable and are constantly researching and implementing different modalities and treatment options to enhance the clinic and to help their clients in the most efficient ways. The therapists at Life Span were great mentors for me and I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked here!
Thanks!

"Throughout my time shadowing Jacqueline at Lifespan Occupational Therapy, I have learned many strategies to effectively use for my "tool box" when I'm an occupational therapist. I'm currently applying to graduate school and wanted to observe an outpatient clinic that provided care to all ages and disabilities. After doing some research on her website, I decided this was the location I wanted to pursue shadowing and a good addition to my hours. Jacqueline has a diverse background, receiving her education in England and then opening up her own business after working as an employee of other OT clinics and medical/ educational settings throughout her career. Whenever I would ask questions throughout the therapy session, she would explain the reasoning behind her procedures. No matter how busy she was, she always seemed to be welcoming to not only the clients she had but also the observer. For example, she would include you in on the games being played and would encourage interaction with the client. An admirable protocol that Jacqueline would do that I have not seen other therapists I've shadowed is her interaction with the parents of the child. The interaction that she would provide was genuine, empathetic, knowledgeable, and educational which are all characteristics about her that I noticed build her relationships with the parents. I would recommend any student looking to further their education and/or knowledge about OT to shadow Jacqueline as she provides a unique and effective client-centered approach to her therapy sessions"

"Thank you so much for letting me shadow at your clinic back in November of 2020. I learned so much from watching and participating with your clients that week. I wanted to let you know that I have been accepted into the University of Puget Sound's program! I'm so grateful for this chance to pursue OT and see where I go with it. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead."

"I worked as a COTA for Jacqueline for only a few months and it was an amazing experience. I learned a lot from her and was able to gain many skills in occupational therapy that I would not have been able to learn from anyone else. She doesn't just focus on the obvious issues but also the underlying issues that can really make a difference in treatment. Jacqueline works very hard for her patients and it shows by the progress they make under her care. If it wasn't for the military moving me to TX I would have stayed working and learning from her for a very long time."

"Jacqueline offers a wide range of services that reflect her knowledge and 24+ years of experience, uniquely addressing clients from their foundation. She helps her clients to build upon their present skills and abilities, with client-centered interventions that are guiding towards living a happy, healthy, and functional lifestyle. She serves individuals across the lifespan seeking to engage in purposeful occupations, whether it relate to life roles, dressing, functional mobility, leisure, sleep, activities of daily living, play, social participation, work, education etc.
I had the opportunity to learn from Jacqueline at Lifespan Occupational Therapy Services during my time as a Level II occupational therapy assistant student. My eight-week rotation was valuable, fast paced, and abundant in opportunities to grow as an OTA.
As an occupational therapy assistant student, she offered direct supervision and constructive feedback to effectively support my learning. I was able to gain knowledge in reflex integration, sensory integration, integrated learning systems, adaptive equipment, advocacy, social skills and feeding. Jacqueline was generous to further my learning beyond the clinic, offering her availability to answer each of my questions as well as guidance to additional resources. She is patient, genuine and intentional in serving her community. It is a privilege to have learned under her supervision.”
